Developed specifically for the British lawn, the Feider TR5220 has an extra-low minimum cutting-height and a rear-mounted roller that combine to make it possible to achieve a close-cut, golf-green-style finish with a traditional striped effect, the like of which the Wimbledon ground staff would be proud!
A high-specification feature among many on the Feider TR5220 Petrol Rear-Roller Lawnmower is its variable-speed power-drive. Controlled by an ergonomically positioned lever, this desirable attribute not only lets you mow at your preferred pace, but also allows you to adapt to the grass-length you’re working on.
A washing-link makes it super-simple to remove any corrosive, performance-limiting debris that’s adhering to the undercarriage; while a ‘catcher full’ warning indicator provides a handy alert when the grassbag has reached its substantial 65-litre capacity.
Blending ball-bearing wheel- and roller-mounts with a steel cutter-deck, the Feider TR5220 Variable-Speed Petrol Rear-Roller Lawnmower offers the sort of robust build-quality that’s usually reserved for machines in a significantly higher price bracket.
Power for the blade and roller is supplied by a sizeable 196cc air-cooled four-stroke motor, which benefits from the manufacturer’s emission-limiting, noise-reducing and fuel-saving overhead-valve technology.
This 53cm model is aimed at areas up to 1500m2.

Needed to replace our Hayter which was never really up to the job..Review by Colin H Robertson / (Posted on 21/07/2021)First of all, after an extensive search on the internet, I found this mower. Excellent website, easy to use and went for the Feider TR5220 Variable-Speed Petrol Rear-Roller Lawnmower. I did telephone the company to ask if it had a throttle control - I was told it had, it has not.
Delivered in three working days - opened it up, well packaged - no damage.
Assembly: The bolts to fix the bottom half of the handle as illustrated in the instruction booklet are completely different to the actual bolts supplied. Being Scottish and having an engineering heritage, I did manage to work out how it went together. The two cables to be attached to the two control leavers are identical making it a bit difficult to determine which is which and are rather awkward to fix to there handles. Having the engine oil supplied is a bonus - thank you.
Performance: Superb, the cut is excellent, the grass collection box fills right up and the mower leaves nice stripes... took a little bit of getting used to turning in tight spots, but fairly easy with the split roller.
Overall I would recommend this machine for larger gardens.

spare part neededReview by Philip Pay / (Posted on 13/04/2021)I have had this mower for more than a year now and have been really pleased with it, now I need a new blade as I hit a stump in the ground and bent it quite badly, I am hoping that the replacement blade can be purchased through Mow Direct I would love to give this company a glowing report but am just holding my breath !!!

Good ValueReview by Nick Sampson / (Posted on 27/07/2020)Overall this mower is extremely good value for money. Easy to assemble in 10 minutes. Some bits are a bit plasticky, including the rear roller, which was disappointing. But overall does a good job and the variable speed selection is a real bonus.
